Welcome To Headingley

One of the family-oriented communities growing at a fast pace is Headingley, Manitoba. It is one of my favourite neighbourhoods with absolutely beautiful homes. I usually make it out for work or pleasure at least once a week. It takes about 25 minutes to reach Winnipeg from this location. Many people choose to live in this delightful community, and they commute to the downtown Winnipeg area to work. They love the trees, access to the Assiniboine River, and the trails that give them an up-close view of the scenery. The population of this community is about 3,600.

History of Headingley

This area was once home to the Route 29 train. This route was discontinued in the 1930s. This was due to economic issues. The township seceded from Winnipeg in 1993.

Headingley Housing Trends

Many of the homes in Headingley were built within the last 15 years. 97% of the homes in this community are owner-occupied. They are mainly single-family homes, offering plenty of space and large yards. Those are the most expensive homes; people like owning something newer because of the design and less risk of repair issues. The houses cost from $450,000 to $800,000.

There are homes in this area that were built between the 1950s and 1980s. They are sold at a lower price because many of them are fixer-uppers. They can be beautiful homes with some work and new paint! Homes like this range from $380,000 to $600,000.
